No Independent Palestinian State?

No Independent Palestinian State? Think again! (January 16, 2009)
Note: Israel pounded yesterday the south-west corner of Gaza City and had demolished the UN agency headquarter and the Red Cross hospital; 500 injured Palestinian babies were trapped in these locations. The death toll has climbed to 1,100 and the injured to 5,200; the world community is finally realizing that apartheid Israel has gone way too crazy against the UN charters. Keeping silent on the facts that this is a war crime being perpetrated in Gaza is no longer tolerable.
The US, Europe, the hateful Moubarak of Egypt and the Wahhabi monarchy in Saudi Arabia do not want a sustainable Palestinian State in the West bank and Gaza; they want a recognized Palestinian State by name only, devoid of the conditions attached to an independent and self-autonomous status. They want what their puppet of “Palestinian” Abbass is willing to bow to, under the excuses that resisting the Zionist occupation should not involve arms struggle, no matter the humiliation and miserable conditions that the Palestinian people are subjected to.
Hamas represents the dignity and pride of the Palestinian to stand tall and reclaiming their rights as deserving people under the sun, with full recognition and the application of the UN charters on the apartheid Zionist State. The religious ideology of Hamas is a byproduct for denying the Palestinian people their due rights and recognition; when the liberal approaches of negotiation and democratic results are canceled, trampeled, and made a mockery by the US Administrations and the EU.
I have published in November 12, 2008 “The State of Palesrael: a future plausible resolution” and I feel compelled to re-iterate my position after the Gaza fiasco and the genocide that has been watched live for over 20 days.
There are reams and reams of plans and counter plans and resolution suggested to containing this everlasting unjust and uncalled for reality of the 20th century monstrosity that permitted the establishment of the State of Israel by displacing its original inhabitants (the Palestinians), as one of the worst monstrosities in this century. There are two viable solutions for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, short of exterminating one party or the other or most probably both, that has been spreading death, disabilities, miseries, indignities and humiliation since 1920.
Before the Gaza onslaught, Israeli Olmert PM had declared that “the time to facing truth has come”. Since the Madrid convention in 1990 among the Arab States and Israeli delegations, (mediated by the Bush Father US Administration), for a resolution of this conflict, it was becoming evident that the “Biblical” strategy of Israel, for further expansion and pre-emptive wars, is no longer tenable. A resolution was contemplated but the US had an old battle plan to prosecute: invading Iraq. The US allowed Israel to scrap the comprehensive agreement of “land for peace”
The Bush Junior administration dusted off this war plan and invaded Iraq. This invasion has failed miserably but Israel realized that it is no longer a necessary State for the strategic interest of the US in the Middle East: The US has military bases in the Arab Gulf, it has many heavy weight allies among the Arabic States, and the price of oil on the market is far cheaper than physically securing its exploitation and distribution in Iraq or elsewhere or even resuming plans to intimidating China and blackmailing her by outdated military presence in Iraq. The return of the heavy investments of the US in Israel has been reflecting sharp negative rates for decades, politically, economically, and socially within the US society and foreign policies.
My plan is of two phases: the first phase is recognizing the State of Palestine by the United Nation, a State self-autonomous, independent and all. It is of primordial interest by the world community and the Jewish State that the Palestinian people recover their dignity and rights as a full fledge State and be permitted to exercise the complex task of administering and governing a State. At least from a psychological necessity, the Palestinian people should feel that persistent resistance and countless “martyrs” for re-establishing their rights as legitimate and independent people have brought fruits, as any genuine national resistance ultimately should. The burden of proof for peaceful co-existence is on the occupier force, the apartheid Zionist State.
The second phase is the merging of the two States of Palestine and Israel into a confederate State with a central government and several self-autonomous “cantons”. I can envisage the following cantons: West Bank, Gaza (including Escalon), Galilee (including Haifa and Akka), Judea (around Jerusalem and Bethlehem), the “East Shore” (Tel Aviv, Yafa), and the Negev (including Akaba). I have this impression that the tight religious extremists on both sides would opt to move to Gaza and Judea, the very secular citizens would move to the East Shore or Galilee and the economically minded people might reside in the Negev backed by strong financial incentives. The second phase will witness the return of the Palestinian refugees as ordered by the UN resolution of 193 in 1948 and the refugees would have the right to select the canton of their preferences.
I can foresee that the key offices in the central government would be equally, including gender, shared by the Palestinians and Israelis and a rotation imposed. The representation in the cantons would be proportional to the general census of the period (at 5 years intervals). The representation among sects, factions, or other types of social divisions within each “people” would also follow the proportions in the census.
I suggest to the interest of the future “Palesrael” State that Israel let Lebanon experience, without foreign interventions, the full extent of its caste structure so that the State of Palesrael might study the pitfalls and strength of such a system of co-existence and avoid the unnecessary miseries of minor civil wars and countless frustrations in its future unfolding. The “Wall of Shame” constructed by the vegetative Sharon has to come down.
It would be inevitable that the State of “Palesreal” be guaranteed a neutrality status (no pre-emptive wars within and outside its borders) by the world community and the regional powers. Then, it is hoped and strongly desired that the State of Lebanon would secure this neutrality status. Amen.
Occupational safety and health standards

“Are occupational safety and health standards of any concern for the Human Factors professionals?” Article #15, April 11, 2005
Occupational safety and health is a topic related to the body of safety and health standards that modern States enforce on all industries and institutions which hire workers to mass produce objects or services on a full time or part time basis.
The main emphasis is to collect data of the impact of the working environment on the safety and health of workers and employees.
Harmful environmental factors such as noise, lighting, indoor climate, temperature, heat or poisonous elements are studied, analyzed, draft standards proposed for comments and recommendations and then standards promulgated for enforcement by appropriate agencies with wide legal empowerment to prosecute and exact penalties on refractory industries.
Since the dawn of history, slavery or quasi slavery activities have been imposed on hapless souls.
During the industrial revolution many political parties and union organizations fought for fair labor and adequate wages commensurate to the risks the jobs entail and sometimes succeeded in gaining substantial legal rights to the workers;
However, safety and health standards were not enacted and enforced until the late quarter of the 20th century.
Even in the modern and ultra developed States sweat shop factories are rampant in building basements with primitive modicum of safety and health concerns for the thousands of immigrants who came from wretched countries with dreams of a better life for freedom, liberty or economic well being.
Not only these immigrants are getting none of their dreams but they are cut off of the familiar environment and family support they may have enjoyed back home.
From time to time, articles in newspapers and social and political organizations expose these inhuman treatments of people, a few measures are taken by the local governments and then life goes on as usual with no serious follow ups or consistent willingness to eradicate these contagious diseases of unbridled greed to devalue human lives when laws and orders are relaxed for the despondent.
Many consensual safety standards from engineering institutions and industrial organizations such as chemical, petroleum, electrical and mechanical businesses have been accepted and joined to the package of safety and health standards.
These standards also deal in many respects with the organizational environment of workers such as shift work or discrimination in hiring on age, race and gender basis.
Besides the military and aerospace conglomerates, it was the federal and State governments which realized the values of Human Factors professionals to administering the various safety and health agencies.
Human Factors graduates were employed to collect data on the hazardous situations in workplaces, analyze the data, set priorities, inspect the workplaces and enforce the standards.
Every year we have hundreds of major catastrophic fires in warehouses and industrial factories where many immigrants die because they live and cook their meals in dangerous environments.
This page lacks space to mention the mega catastrophes in chemical plants, petroleum refineries, dams and construction civil activities.
Note: A student version added two examples to my article. He inserted an excerpt from the Yahoo Daily news that Nikes, the sport goods industry, has admitted to a series of abuses at its Asian factories, including forced overtime and limited access to water. In response to allegations by human rights groups and settled court cases Nike founder and chairman Philip Knight said: “We’ve been fairly quiet for the past three years in corporate responsibility. So we’re using this report to play a little catch-up and draw a more complete picture.”
Another example is the fire catastrophe of 1911 in the USA. The workrooms had inadequate fire escapes and no sprinklers. The supervisors used to lock the doors to the workplace from the outside to prevent women and girls from taking breaks. Five hundred workers were trapped and 146 burned corpses were found. Both defendants and manslaughter were acquitted by the jury; the jury claimed that this happened because women panicked which caused their deaths.

Reactions to Seduction, Love, and Sex Tales (June 12, 2009)
In the last three months I had decided that my posts would not exceed 800 words. Consequently, my posts must not be read as academic essays intended to cover all aspects of any theme or in any reasonable depth. Many times, as a few posts cover many aspect of the same theme then I combine them in a somewhat lengthy essay. In general I try to exaggerate to shock readers into personal reflection. I leave it to the reader to figure out the many perspectives and angles for comprehending a theme. I even challenge readers with direct and categorical positions to generate comments that may resume discussion and enrich dialogue. Most of the time this tactic is successful and I always factors in comments of the types of immature curses and semi sentences.
For example I receive a well elaborate comment on my post “Sex Tales”. It goes “I was really interested in reading “sex tales”. I read this post many times and I felt your “anger” in your writing. What I don’t agree, even if I am not a man, is when you say that men don’t have pleasure and that the sexual act is “only” a tension relief. I agree that the sexual act is a natural need but you cannot compare it to pissing and shitting, even when we’re not talking about love, because sex is something that you can control, it is related to desire and pleasure, it is something you share.
How can you generalize by telling that “Man is not endowed to experience sexual pleasures […]”? Did you ever discuss this issue with other men? In my opinion you cannot compare sex to masturbation, they are fundamentally different.
You say that men need practice; I say that women need practice too. Practice is important for both genders in order to know their bodies, to know how to give pleasure and how to receive pleasure. Do you think that for women sex is “easier” or pleasure is “automatic”? Don’t you think that women also care for men’s pleasure and that they enjoy giving as much as getting?
I looked for an explanation for your anger and I may have found two:
First, you said concerning men’s hands “one is more sensitive, functional, and defter than the other and not for manual work but for relieving your emotional anger and passions” maybe is it this emotional anger that is reflected in your writing?
Second, maybe it is a manifestation of a tendency for misogyny? After all, the way we see the world is always influenced by our personal experiences.”
That was a wonderful comment and I tend to agree on most points. It gave me the opportunity to elaborate my position. I am replying gladly and with excitement. Personally, I am sure that women need far more practice than men. Mind you that I am not talking about seduction but the nitty gritty sex part of foreplay and intercourse. After all it is the woman who is in the receiving end of sexual pleasure. If the woman is not in control of the entire exercise then she had a failing grade and needs to practice more to accede to the next level. Man must be the passive partner and as long as man is the active one then the woman has received a failing grade.
No, we cannot compare sex to masturbation unless the woman partner is frequently getting lousy grades. Then, it is far better for man to get in control of his “destiny” or change sexual partners. It is the woman responsibility to retain her sex partner and discover what make her man tick. Hint: occasionally, man wants to feel in charge; then it is your call “wisie”.
I get very tired doing the control part because it drains most of the nervous energy and requires complete focus to pleasure my partner while I never get an affirmative “Thank you”. I maintain that sexual intercourse is an exit alternative for man to relieve his anxieties and angers until the wise woman partner extracts a genuine “Thank you” appreciation from her man after the game is over. Then, sex can shift to a qualitative level: it is for the man to expect a confirming “thank you” note from the woman partner. Then we can say that sex is ranked as quality time; a serious fulfilling and relaxing exercise. It is the phase when both partners have done their homework and learned what give pleasure to both sides.
In general, I discovered that I like more the company of women than man: there are challenges at every corner until routine sets in. Then it is time for a change seeking the company of men. As for misogyny and such terminologies I tend to avoid them: generalizations are intrinsically false. Every person, in both genders, has a combination of characters; some tend to behave more frequently misogyny than others. What count is not what we say but rather how we act and behave.
Anyway, I am still into introspection and this exercise might last a life long.
Note 1: I stumbled on a post offering advices for good sex. Man likes seductive, intelligent, and confident woman. Women should behave lady like on the street and exhibit her bitchy vocabulary and lexicon in bed. Woman should control burping and farting to the bare minimum: do you know anyone inclined to fuck his beer drinking buddy? Woman should prove that she feels fine in her body and not constantly worried of the next esthetic surgery. Woman should refrain from biting the penis or any canine scare tactics; likewise, man should refrain from savaging the clitoris and bruising it. Both genders should not trash talk about their acquaintances: this is a sure proof of low self esteem and a strong message that danger is around the bend.
Note 2: I linked three posts on seduction, love and sex for those interested in following the conversation.
