Monokini: Showing off proud breast cancer survivors parts

Monokini Shows What These Women Don’t Want To Hide.

Traditional swimwear just wasn’t up to the job for proud breast cancer survivors heading to the beach.

So a group of Finnish fashion designers got together to create something eye-popping new and fun that plays on our ideas of beauty and nudity while imagining a solution for these women.

The original idea for the Monokini 2.0 project is by Elina Halttunen, PhD, and the artistic director for the project is the art duo Tärähtäneet ämmät, aka Nutty Tarts.
Note: Are the shoes designed for the beaches too? Looks like many of these monokinis are not even swimwear.
