20 Sex Myths, Debunked
Apparently, big shoes on a guy really only mean one thing: big socks.
Mental Floss recruited health researcher Dr. Aaron Carroll to debunk some misconceptions about sex and contraception, from the fairly plausible to the downright bizarre.
Carroll, who hosts a YouTube show on health policy and research, breaks the news that the average penis size is not seven inches, as commonly believed.
Instead the average penis size is somewhere between five and five-and-a-half inches, according to multiple studies. Sorry ladies; you’re welcome dudes.
And for all the ladies who choose to not shave their pubic hair, you are not alone. Actually, you’re in the majority.
Carroll says that only 11% of women ages 18-68 report removing “all of their pubic hair most of the time.” So maybe “bush is back,”or maybe it just never left.
Sadly, it’s also a myth that sex is great exercise. That one was just too good to be true.

Systematically DESTROYS Hospitals and HOME FOR THE DISABLED: Israel airstrikes on Gaza

ISRAELI AIR STRIKE DESTROYS HOME FOR THE DISABLED
More than 1,250 homes have been destroyed or severely damaged so far and more than half a million people risk losing their water supply because it is too dangerous for contractors to fix damaged pipelines.
Tens of thousands of Palestinians have already fled their homes in northern Gaza following leaflets warning of an Israeli ground offensive and 17,000 have taken refuge at UN-operated schools.
A statement released on Monday also condemned the launching of rockets by Hamas and other militant groups from densely populated residential areas.
James Rawley, the UN’s Humanitarian Co-ordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territories, warned of a looming humanitarian crisis as agencies struggle with damage to health, education, water and sanitation facilities, as well as power lines.
“Our thoughts must first be with those many civilians who have already lost their lives, and the even greater number of who have suffered physical or psychological injuries,” he added.
“While we await those much needed steps [towards peace], we must once again remind all parties that they must strictly adhere to international humanitarian law.”
Mr Rawley said precautions must be taken to avoid civilian casualties and there must be “proportionality” in operations, adding that military assets should not be kept in residential areas.
The Israeli tactic of using “knock-on-the-door” missiles to warn people to evacuate before a strike has also been criticised, with opponents saying rockets that do not explode are still a danger to life.
The recent conflict is only a part of an ongoing “cycle of violence” in the region that is compounded by poverty, unemployment and food shortages in Gaza caused by years of strict movement restrictions imposed by Israel, Mr Rawley said.
He added: “My thoughts are particularly with Gaza’s children, not only those who are already casualties of this latest conflict, but all of Gaza’s children for whom fear and insecurity are a not only a reality today but a scar that will endure for a lifetime.”
Note: The Hebrew-language daily Maariv reported Hamas and Islamic Jihad demands:
1. Remove tanks from western border
2. Allow farmers to farm
3. Allow airport to function
4. Release re-arrested prisoners
5. Open naval zone 10 nautical miles to fisherman
6. Lift the siege
As Noura Erakat said: “All these demands are life affirming.”

Israeli MP girl Ayelet Shaked: All Palestinian Mothers must be killed
Posted by: adonis49 on: July 19, 2014
A well-known Israeli politician and parliament member has branded Palestinians as terrorists, saying mothers of all Palestinians should also be killed during the ongoing Israeli assault on the besieged Gaza Strip,.
Daily Sabah reported.
Ayelet Shaked of the ultra-nationalist Jewish Home party called for the slaughter of Palestinian mothers who give birth to “little snakes.”
“They have to die and their houses should be demolished so that they cannot bear any more terrorists,” Shaked said, adding, “They are all our enemies and their blood should be on our hands. This also applies to the mothers of the dead terrorists.”
The remarks are considered as a call for genocide as she declared that all Palestinians are Israel’s enemies and must be killed.
On Monday (July 7) Shaked quoted this on her Facebook page:
“Behind every terrorist stand dozens of men and women, without whom he could not engage in terrorism.
They are all enemy combatants, and their blood shall be on all their heads. Now this also includes the mothers of the martyrs, who send them to hell with flowers and kisses.
They should follow their sons, nothing would be more just. They should go, as should the physical homes in which they raised the snakes. Otherwise, more little snakes will be raised there.”
The development comes as many officials from various countries have slammed Israel’s airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
The Turkish prime minister is the latest to condemn the offensive, accusing Israel of massacring the Palestinians.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan has lashed out at Israel, saying it is committing state terrorism against the Palestinians in the region. Speaking in parliament, he also questioned the world’s silence toward Tel Aviv’s ongoing atrocities.
Reacting to Shaked’s remarks, the Turkish premier said Israel’s policy in Gaza is no different than Hitler’s mentality.
“An Israeli woman said Palestinian mothers should be killed, too. And she’s a member of the Israeli parliament. What is the difference between this mentality and Hitler’s?” Erdogan asked.
The developments come as the UN agency for Palestinian refugees has recently said women and children make up a sizeable number of Palestinian fatalities caused by Israeli attacks on the besieged region.
Ayelet Shaked represents the far-right Jewish Home party in the Knesset.
