He taught photography for 7 years at ALBA, Beirut and for 1 year at Villa Noailles, Hyère where he animated photography workshops.
The works of Nadim Asfar are presented in worldwide exhibitions and at the most prestigious venues such as Paris Photo and the New Museum in New York, as well as the FID (Festival international du documentaire) in Marseille
At HEARTLAND exhibition, he will present a new video entitled “Eaux Territoriales” (Territorial Waters).
This film is closely related to a childhood memory and a personal experience that Nadim Asfar seeked to reproduce. The journey (or the path) depicted in the video relates to his numerous trips to/from Lebanon, either fleeing from war or returning back to his home country.
During filming, the “remembered” landscape raised questions beyond his past personal experience and made him question the “landscape” as a place and as a relationship.
