A “Transparent accounting”. Away from biased Elite Class “Net profit legal” laws?

Transparent accounting: Based on revenue and posted 9 years ago,

This is one of my Daydream ideas.

Revenue is the one item in the balance sheet that No corporation is about to cheat on, Not even gang and drug criminal organizations cheat on it. Why?

You cannot have a balance sheet or working statement or any other accounting gimmick without accurate revenue

Board of director members take their cuts directly from the total revenue.

They know how much the company is generating in gross profit, excluding side revenues and under the table bonuses and favors…

For example, the percentage on the revenue for their First cut, ahead of time, must correspond to 50% of the gross profit, and then all other “cost/expense” items can be changed to correspond to the expected net profit.

Even without the huge amount of data, financial and economical data, companies in each particular line of business have an appreciation of the gross profit before the legal year starts, based on the previous revenue and very accurate forecasting

Every item in the balance sheet is known as a percentage of the revenue.

You change a percentage and you know what the managers should be doing as consequences: Fire employees and how many, reduce facility costs, save on energy, training, quality of spare parts, inspection, quality control,…

Actually, all the accounting standards and accounting schools and degrees awarded to graduates are Not meant to fine-tune the accounting records of anything.

Mostly, these degrees are to know and apply the laws “legal cheating” that benefit the Elite Classes in a society.

The government and the corporations have no need for all the accurate numbers and inspection of records and papers: They know the revenue and the proper percentage on the revenue that each item is measured accordingly.

Government can as easily and more accurately get the taxes on revenue, instead of waiting for the gross profit computation, and saving the citizens the exacerbation of enacting loopholes as large as the State of Montana.

If the financial and business communities consider the tax rate on revenue high or exaggerated, they can lobby to simply reduce the rate of the percentage on the revenue…What’s the big deal?

Is transparency anathema to governing?

Should government persist on creating more mysterious laws than the citizens are ready to swallow?

Is governing meant to constantly resume the financial emulation of cult organizations with code-names, secrecy, childish gimmick…?

Why the top 1% of corporations have to skim 20% of total revenue for example, then rearrange all the items in the balance sheet, so that the workers and employees sweat out negotiating on a better minimum wage?

Who is taking advantages of the small prints as footnotes in the balance sheet and other accounting gimmicks?

Why should the nation needs expert on how to comprehend the meaning of the footnotes, if transparency is the goal in transactions?

Occupy Wall Street protests should demand that accounting ratios should be transparent on a special accounting sheet:  Citizens must know how much the top 1% are actually paid, how much the middle management is paid, and how much the rank-and-file of workers are paid as a proportion of the total revenue…

Actually, who is generating the profit if Not the workers and employees, and who is making the economy grow, and who is defending the interests of the top 1%?

Occupy Wall Street protests task is to demand transparency in all financial undertaking, starting with a transparent accounting.

How a “Transparent accounting” for tax purposes? Away from biased Elite Class “Net profit” laws?

Part 1. Israel “occupying” USA domestic security agencies? How this Israelification is insidious?

Margaret Flowers posted on Dec. 4, 2011 under “The Israelification of America domestic security”.

This lengthy article describes how the State of Israel and its various lobbies in the USA have infiltrated US domestic security agencies and have taken root through sponsored trips to attending various programs within Israel security agencies and services.

I had to split the article into two parts after minor rearrangement.

I didn’t think much comments were necessary and the article could fall within the rubric “NO COMMENT“.

The first part is on how Israel is breaking up the Occupy Wall Street protests.

Collaboration between US and Israeli cops is just the tip of the iceberg.

Training alongside the US police departments and internal security apparatus at Urban Shield was theYamam, an Israeli Border Police unit that claims to specialize in “counter-terror” operations.

Actually, the Yamam is better known for its extra-judicial assassinations of Palestinian militant leaders and its long record of repression and abuses in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Israel cooperation unleashed in full force against the Occupy Wall Street Movement, has taken place at every level of law enforcement, and in areas that have yet to be exposed.

The phenomenon has been documented in bits and pieces, through occasional news report that typically highlight Israel’s national security prowess without examining the problematic nature of working with a country accused of grave human rights abuses.

This insidious “cooperation” has never been the subject of a national discussion.

“The New York Police Department’s disclosure that it deployed “counter-terror” measures against Occupy protesters encamped in downtown Manhattan’s Zuccotti Park is just the latest example of the so-called War on Terror creeping into every day life.

Revelations like these have raised serious questions about the extent to which Israeli-inspired tactics are being used to suppress the Occupy movement.

Karen Greenberg, director of Fordham School of Law’s Center on National Security and a leading expert on terror and civil liberties, said the Israeli influence on American law enforcement is so extensive it has bled into street-level police conduct.

“After 9/11, we reached out to the Israelis on many fronts and one of those fronts was torture. The training in Iraq and Afghanistan on torture was Israeli training. There’s been a huge downside to taking our cue from the Israelis and now we’re going to spread that into the fabric of everyday American life?

Israel’s counter-terrorism creep. And it’s exactly what you could have predicted would have happened.

After 9/11 we had to react very quickly, but now we’re in 2011 and we’re not talking about people who want to fly planes into buildings. We’re talking about young American citizens who feel that their birthright has been sold.

If we’re using Israeli style tactics on them and this stuff bleeds into the way we do business at large, were in big trouble.”

Through its Law Enforcement Education Program (LEEP), the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA) claims to have arranged Israeli-led training sessions for over 9,000 American law enforcement officials at the federal, state and municipal level. Richard Fuentes, the NJ State Police Superintendent, said after attending a 2004 JINSA:

“The Israelis changed the way we do business regarding homeland security in New Jersey.” Fuentes was part of a sponsored Israel trip and a subsequent JINSA conference alongside 435 other law enforcement officers.

A few of the police chiefs who have taken part in JINSA’s LEEP program have done so under the auspices of the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF), a private non-governmental group with close ties to the Department of Homeland Security.

Chuck Wexler, the executive director of PERF, was so enthusiastic about the program that by 2005 he had begun organizing trips to Israel, sponsored by PERF, bringing numerous high-level American police officials to receive instruction from their Israeli counterparts.

What were the immediate benefits?

PERF gained notoriety when Wexler confirmed that his group coordinated police raids in 16 cities across America against “Occupy” protest encampments. As many as 40 cities have sought PERF advice on suppressing the “Occupy” movement and other mass protest activities. Wexler did not respond to my requests for an interview.

Margaret Flowers wrote:

“the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department turned parts of the campus of the University of California in Berkeley into an urban battlefield. The occasion was Urban Shield 2011, an annual SWAT team exposition organized to promote “mutual response,” collaboration and competition between heavily militarized police strike forces representing law enforcement departments across the United States and foreign nations.

At the time, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department was preparing for an imminent confrontation with the nascent “Occupy” movement that had set up camp in downtown Oakland, and would demonstrate the brunt of its repressive capacity against the demonstrators a month later when it attacked the encampment with teargas and rubber bullet rounds, leaving an Iraq war veteran in critical condition and dozens injured.

According to Police Magazine, (a law enforcement trade publication):  “Law enforcement agencies responding to…Occupy protesters in northern California credit Urban Shield for their effective teamwork.”

Urban Shield also featured a unit from the military of Bahrain, which had just crushed a largely non-violent democratic uprising by opening fire on protest camps and arresting wounded demonstrators when they attempted to enter hospitals.

While the involvement of Bahraini soldiers in the drills was a novel phenomenon, the presence of quasi-military Israeli police – whose participation in Urban Shield was not reported anywhere in US media – reflected a disturbing and all-too-common feature of the post-9/11 American security landscape.

Having been schooled in Israeli tactics, and perfected during a 63-year experience of controlling, dispossessing, and occupying an indigenous Palestinian population, local US police forces have adapted them to monitor Muslim and immigrant neighborhoods in US cities.

Meanwhile, former Israeli military officers have been hired to spearhead security operations at American airports and suburban shopping malls, leading to a wave of disturbing incidents of racial profiling, intimidation, and FBI interrogations of innocent, unsuspecting people.

The process of Israel’s insidious meddling in US domestic security began in the immediate wake of 9/11, when national panic led federal and municipal law enforcement officials to beseech Israeli security honchos for “advice and training”.

America’s Israel lobby exploited the climate of hysteria, providing thousands of top cops with all-expenses paid trips to Israel and stateside training sessions with Israeli military and intelligence officials. Police chiefs of major American cities who have not been on junkets to Israel are the exception.

US Capitol Police Chief  Terrance W. Gainer said:

“Israel is the Harvard of antiterrorism...”

Cathy Lanier, the Chief of the Washington DC Metropolitan Police, said:

“No experience in my life has had more of an impact on doing my job than going to Israel.”

Barnett Jones, the police chief of Ann Arbor, Michigan, said of Israel: “One would say it is the front line. We’re in a global war.”

Hoods participating in: Occupy Wall Street protests

Andrew Bossone sent me this link on Facebook.com:

Darren Sands published “ Black ‘Occupy’ Protesters Start ‘Occupy The Hood” (I edited slightly and abridged the article)

Malik Rhasaan seeks to recruit, educate blacks and Latinos for Supporting Occupy Wall Street, Occupy The Hood.

“Occupy Wall Street protests” encourages openness and inclusion. So far, it seems that it attracted almost exclusively white citizen. Maybe not longer:  A growing number volunteers calling themselves “Occupy The Hood” are stepping in.

Founded by Malik Rhasaan, 39 of Queens, N.Y., and Ife Johari Uhuru, 35, based in Detroit, @OccupyTheHood has close to 3,500 followers on Twitter.  Support of notable figures and a cadre of volunteers are devoted to getting the word out about the cause of the protests to African Americans and Latinos.

Rhasaan told Loop 21, Occupy The Hood has six core volunteers, but he’s already seen “Occupy The Hood” carried by people he’s never met. Like many others, he was initially just curious about the protests.

“It was a news story and I’ve always been interested in what’s going on in our country,” Rhassan said via phone from the protests, “I was just going down and really, just being nosy to see how honest it was. I realized there was a solid movement, but that there weren’t enough black and Latinos. A police officer asked me to move along.”

He got on Facebook to ask his friends why they weren’t out getting involved. “This really was about me and my friends starting a dialogue about what was going on. I really never thought this would happen.”  Having never used Twitter, he created @OccupyTheHood.

The buzz caught the attention of Ife Johari Uhuru, who was browsing the internet at 2 a.m from her home in Detroit. She reached out to Rhasaan on Twitter and they spoke on the phone minutes later. She offered her crack social media and internet skills to complement Rhassan’s aggressive street-organizing. A partnership was born.

Ife Johari Uhuru said the onus of awareness to new communities does not fall solely on the shoulders of Occupy The Hood. “They’re gonna have a problem with people of color [getting involved] if they don’t connect (cause)/effects of capitalism to racism,” said Ife Johari.

In the meantime, Occupy The Hood says it need volunteers. It is also working on a website. Rhasaan has spoken with Cornel West, who gave him some insight and lauded their efforts. Occupy The Hood also received a phone call from Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif), Ife Johari Uhuru said.

Though he does not want to take away from the core efforts of Occupy Wall Street, Rhasaan foresees “using this (objective) as an springboard to address other things, whether it be crime or health issues in our communities. But we, in the inner-city, doesn’t know how this pertains to us. We don’t tie our issues to Wall Street. Maybe if we did, we’d have less time to be beefing with each other.”

To volunteer or learn more about Occupy The Hood e-mail them at occupythehood@gmail.com.”

On Occupy Charlotte, Kumi Naidoo said: “This planet has enough to meet all of humanity’s need, but not all of humanity’s greed.” -Kumi Naidoo @Dina Badawy

“Dissent is Patriotic”:  Who are “Occupy Wall Street protests”?

The American common people are rising from the ashes of institutional liberal capitalist system.

People Street is confronting Wall Street, and the Mega media are refraining from disseminating these “small people” frightening upheavals.

You may access these great news on internet, social platforms, and YouTube…

The people uprising and demonstrations are depicted as a menace to US foundation of democracy, liberty, happiness to all citizens, and weakening US image as a a mighty superpower, which reserved the right to be the world police force…

Unions Head to Support Occupy Wall Street

Citing common cause, the Transport Workers Union, one of the country’s largest unionswith over 200,000 members, has announced its support for the Occupy Wall Street protests. They will join a Friday rally. Other unions are following suit, with a slew of big NYC unions planning an Oct. 5 rally.

The Village Voice interviewed Transport Workers Union Local 100’s spokesman Jim Gannon:

Why did they join? “Well, actually, the protesters, it’s pretty courageous what they’re doing,” he said, “and it’s brought a new public focus in a different way to what we’ve been saying all along. While Wall Street and the banks and the corporations are the ones that caused the mess that’s flowed down into the States and cities, it seems there’s no shared sacrifice. It’s the workers having to sacrifice, while the wealthy get away scot-free. It’s kind of a natural alliance with the young people and the students.  They’re voicing our message and saying “why not join them“?

On many levels, our workers feel an affinity with the kids. They just seem to be hanging out there getting the crap beaten out of them.  Maybe union support will help them out a little bit.”

‎”There is a sprawling apparatus of federal and local militarized police forces, and private corporate security, designed to send this message: “if you participate in protests or other forms of dissent outside of harmless approved channels, you’re going to be harmed in numerous ways” …

‎”But as people seemed to be retreating from harm’s way, police began pushing the protesters. I saw police use large nets to corral people en masse. I watched as police pepper sprayed several young women in the face. (An NYPD spokesperson confirmed the use of pepper spray to MetroFocus.) I saw senior citizens and teenagers get arrested. I saw about 20 or 30 police officers tackle people and prod them roughly with police batons.”

This show of force is all designed to deter any meaningful challenges to the government and corporate institutions, which are suffocating them, to bully those who consider such challenges into accepting its futility. And it works.”

‎”It is the ability ‘to endure frightening situations and know that someone is standing next to you and will be around people”.  It is who have ’empathy toward you,’ that will create the kind of rebellion in America.  A revolt that is necessary to challenge the power of Wall Street and other corporate and special interests that is putting this country the entire planet at risk.

The very idea that one can effectively battle Wall Street’s corruption and control by working for the Democratic Party is absurd on its face: Wall Street’s favorite candidate in 2008 was Barack Obama, whose administration — led by a Wall Street White House Chief of Staff and Wall-Street-subservient Treasury Secretary and filled to the brim with Goldman Sachs officials — is now working hard to protect bankers from meaningful accountability.

For example, why JPMorgan Chase recently donated $4.6 million to the New York City Police Foundation?

NEW YORK CITY POLICE FOUNDATION — NEW YORK

JPMorgan Chase recently donated an unprecedented $4.6 million to the New York City Police Foundation. The gift was the largest in the history of the foundation and will enable the New York City Police Department to strengthen security in the Big Apple.

The money will pay for 1,000 new patrol car laptops, as well as security monitoring software in the NYPD’s main data center.

New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly sent CEO and Chairman Jamie Dimon a note expressing “profound gratitude” for the company’s donation.

“These officers put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe,” Dimon said. “We’re incredibly proud to help them build this program and let them know how much we value their hard work.”

The Jante Law: Mediocrity is King, (March 24, 2009)

In Scandinavia, the Jante Law said: “You are worthless.  Nobody is interested in what you think. Mediocrity and anonymity are your best choices.  If you act according to the Jante Law, then all your problems will vanish”

This Janti Law is the most common and most adhered to principle by most countries and people, though it was never formulated as clearly or known as the Law of the Lands of Mediocrity.

The Janti Law was stated in the novel “A refugee surpasses his limits” by Aksei Sandemose in 1933.  This law was disseminated recently when the Norwegian Princess Martha-Louise married the writer Ari Behn.

Ari Behn was a recognized and acclaimed writer before he wedded the princess.  After the marriage, Ari was vehemently critiqued and lambasted by writers for no other reason but for daring to surpass his class status.  That is how the world got familiar with this Scandinavian Law.

By the way, Princess Martha-Louise embroidered her gown with the names of who counted in her life for her 30h birthday, and many started to emulate her generous spirit.

People always claim that many wars would not have started if an anti-Janti Law was preponderant:

1. That people knew that they are worth far more than what they think.

2. That what you do on earth is far more important than what you believe in;

3. That acting against injustice and expressing your opinions against tyrants will ultimately prevail.

That might be so, but it was still an abstract notion until 2003, when the King of Mediocrity, George W. Bush, prevailed against all the world community and launched his preemptive war against Iraq.

The Spanish PM Aznar defied the wishes of 90% of the Spanish citizens and so did the British PM Blair. The UN did not cover the operation.

Turkey declined 26 billions dollar in aid and denied the US troops a right to cross the Turkish land or launch military operations against its neighboring State.

Colin Powell was forced to forge falsified proofs, documents, and aerial photographs that Hans Blix, the inspector of Iraq disarmament on nuclear and chemical engines of war, contested for many months.

Britain Foreign Minister, Jack Straw, went as far as justifying this war on moral grounds.

The European Nations and their people were against this war.  The Arab States unified to decry this war.  The entire world demonstrated for two months but the King of Mediocrity prevailed.

No, it was not all in vain. Things have changed even if a few leaders still feel shy to denouncing the genocide that the Zionist State perpetrated against the Palestinians in Gaza.

The results of democratic elections are recognized, even if they don’t suit the philosophy of a few powerful nations.  A new urgency for diplomatic resolutions is taking over in world politics.  Sure, financial and economic downturns are helping that climate of overture, but Mediocrity is subsiding among nations.

The common people of nations are reawakening to known fundamentals that terrorism and religious extremism are the symptoms of fear, inequality in rights, injustices, and lack of freedom of speech coupled with anemic economies and lack of opportunities and professional diversity in jobs.

In order to establish just, prosperous, and democratic political systems around the world we have got to believe that it is very possible because it is right and urgent.

Note 1:  The theme of this post was inspired by “Like a Flowing River” by Paulo Coelho with re-arrangement.

Note 2: This post was published over three years before the Arab mass uprising and the Occupy Wall Street protests in the US and in Europe
