Notes and tidbits posted on FB and Twitter. Part 161

Note: I take notes of books I read and comment on events and edit sentences that fit my style. I pa attention to researched documentaries and serious links I receive. The page is long and growing like crazy, and the sections I post contains a month-old events that are worth refreshing your memory.

Since 2005, and for 7 years, numerous men and women Palestinians in the village of Bilin courageously have faced Israeli forces in order to prevent further colonization of their villages, the destruction of their resources and the subjugation of their people.

Hana al-Shalabi (Hanaa2), a 30-year-old Palestinian woman from Jenin, is on hunger strike to protest her administrative detention without charge by Israel. She was subjected to beatings and humiliating treatment by Israeli forces and declared that her hunger strike will continue until her demand for freedom is met.

Women of the Middle East and North Africa are of compelling strength, boundtless courage and incorruptible dignity. History is laden with prominent female activists, poets, authors and political figures from this region who have long existed, despite the deliberate evasion of their stories and in the printing their names, and they will continue to exist.

Why lament about how others write about you; write your own histories. I personally would love to read about these female heroes.
Long ago, there was a Medieval Kingdom of Khazaria ( 652-1016 AD) that included part of modern-day Russia, Ukraine, and a sliver of what is current Kazakhstan.  When considering the choice among Islam, Christianity or Judaism the leaders of this ’empire’ decided to declare themselves Jewish. They had no understanding of the culture of the original land (Levant civilization) and simply followed the rules and prescriptions of the conservative Jews. They are the current Ashkenazim Jew who lived in central Europe, after the Russian Ivan dispersed them in the year 1,000.

The Khazaria Empire could not extend any further south because the Tatars and Turkmen proved to be about as obstinate as the Afghans have been throughout history.

The Khazarian ‘Jews’ are NOT descendants of the mythical “12 Tribes of Israel” and their world view, and of pious spiritual Judaism have created conflict within that religion ever since. They are the current day Zionist Ashkenazim Jews (including Neocons, of course) who have formed a world power banking, extortion cult of war and death that has little or nothing to do with being devout adherents of Judaism. These are the folks who think nothing of breaking the law, lying (Kol Nidre), stealing, graft, corruption, assassination, blackmail, extortion or destroying tens of millions of people to get their way.

In 1997, Christoph Meili was a security guard, who happened upon 2 carts full of Holocaust-era banking documents related to Jewish clients of UBS that were slated for destruction. Inspired by “Schindler’s List,” Meili removed several volumes of the documents from his employer’s possession. Instead of going directly to the authorities, he instead disclosed the documents to outside sources. As a result, not only did Meili lose his job, but he was also under investigation by Swiss authorities for violating Swiss law.

Since 2,000, Israel killed 2,027 Palestinian children.

Effects of Israeli violence on Palestinian children

108 Palestinian children wrote essays in 1989, describing their status in 2000. They are now grown up with grown up kids and they all couldn’t even see the sea in 2014.

Mind you that every single day, preferably at night, Israel fetch dozens of kids from their bed and administratively detain them for months, without trial: A methodical game of dehumanizing and taming the Palestinian youth

Moslih Kanaaneh posted. September 9 at 12:12pm ·

Gaza: 9 children die in attack on playground

The Gaza park attack happened as children played on a swing in the Shati refugee camp on the edge of Gaza City, said Ayman Sahabani, head of the accident and emergency department at nearby Shifa Hospital.

Mr Sahabani said nine of the ten people killed were children under the age of 12. Some 46 other people were wounded.

The strike occurred a few minutes after the hospital’s outpatient clinic was hit, leaving several people wounded.

Pools of blood could be seen on the ground in the Beach refugee camp garden in the aftermath of the explosion.

Munther Al-Derbi, a camp resident, said: “We came out of the mosque when I saw the children playing … Seconds later a missile landed. May God punish … Netanyahu,” he said, referring to the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu

NINE children were killed following a strike on a Gaza playpark yesterday.

Israeli and Palestinian authorities blamed each other for the attack, while fighting continued despite a major Muslim Ramadan holiday.

A truce between Israel and Hamas remained elusive despite diplomatic efforts to end the fighting at the start of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, marking the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The Israeli military said a mortar attack on southern Israel caused “deaths and injuries”, but did not disclose further details.

Israeli media reported that the attack killed at least 4 people, which saw military helicopters rushing people to hospital on stretchers.

More than 1,900 Palestinian lives, most of them civilian, have been lost since 8 July, when Israel launched its offensive against Hamas in Gaza.

Israel’s military death toll rose to 48 with yesterday’s deaths. Three civilians have also died.

Last night, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said that parties to the conflict in Gaza had “expressed serious interest” in his request for a further 24-hour humanitarian ceasefire, but “have not yet agreed on the timing of its implementation”.

Gaza’s police operations room, civil defence and Mr Sahabani all blamed the attacks on Israeli airstrikes.

But Israeli army spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner denied Israel was involved.

He said: “This incident was carried out by Gaza terrorists whose rockets fell short and hit the Shifa Hospital and the Beach camp.”

Gaza’s interior ministry spokesman Eyad al-Bozum said he believed that shrapnel found in dead bodies and in the wounded was evidence of Israel’s role in the incident.

He said: “The occupation [ie, Israel] claims that Palestinian rockets hit the hospital and the park.

“This is an attempt to cover their ugly crime against children and civilians, and because of their fear of scandal and international legal prosecution.”

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri called the strike on the park a “massacre”.

Hamas’ military wing said that, in response to the strike, it fired three rockets toward the Israeli port city of Ashdod.

Mr Netanyahu said yesterday: “We will continue to act aggressively and responsibly until the mission is completed to protect our citizens, soldiers and children.”

And he said Israel would not finish its operation until it had “neutralised” Hamas tunnels out of Gaza.

Israel’s military yesterday also ordered residents of parts of northern Gaza to evacuate towards central Gaza City, a sign that Israel may be broadening its assault.

CHILD PRISONERS –

Un soldat Israelien qui se prend en photo avec un Enfant Palestinien qu'il vient de torturer avant de le tuer

Je compte sur vous pour quelle fasse le tour de Facebook.

An Israeli soldier tortured a child and took a selfie before killing the Palestinian.

  • Like all Palestinians from the occupied territories, Palestinian children are subject to Israeli military tribunals.
  • Palestinian minors are frequently arrested in the middle of the night by Israeli soldiers, taken away without their parents and harshly interrogated without a guardian or lawyer present.

  • According to a recent report by the Israeli NGO No Legal Frontiers, which followed the cases of 71 Palestinian children as they made their way through the Israeli military court system:
    • The most common offense was throwing stones and Molotov cocktails. In most cases the object was not actually thrown, did not hit a target, or cause any damage. In no case was serious harm caused.
    • In 94% of cases the children were held in pre-trial detention and not released on bail.
    • In 100% of cases, the children were convicted of an offense.
    • 87% of them were subjected to some form of physical violence while in custody.
  • Under pressure from human rights organizations and children’s rights advocates, the Israeli army announced in 2011 that it would raise the age that Palestinians are treated as adults from 16 to 18 years of age, however, critics complain that they are still subject to the same unjust and abusive treatment accorded Palestinian adults.
It is good: A single lusty scene per movie…
Excellent for constipated people.
Two erotic scenes would not add much benefit to the constipation condition.
Three scenes is tantamount to risking a generalized diarrhea.
Better than lust, the extreme Israelis discovered a superior remedy to constipation.
If the Israelis don’t get their daily dose of sadistic behaviors and actions against the Palestinians, they get constipated. And they begin harassing the world community of “Anti-Semitic” trends.
Australian documentary on Israel torture techniques against Palestinian children  a link.
Germany Angela Merkel PM, a staunch Zionist,  (see link in note 1) and 17 of her cabinet ministers have landed in Israel today for discussion. What do you think would be the objective of this mass transfer of Germany top officials to Israel?
Netanyahu PM knows exactly that the EU has demanded a complete stoppage of settlement building and expansion, and Merkel made sure that Israel gets the message loud and clear.
Is Germany preparing Netanyahu  for his meeting with Barack Obama? Kind of extracting small tangible “concessions” to ratify a totally biased “peace treaty” with the Palestinians in exchange of a couple $billion in financial aids?
The Palestinians should try this alternative to increase Israelis constipated condition: Stay at home for a couple of days and refrain from crossing any of the Zionist military check-points.
Most probably, the Israelis will find all kinds of excuses to barge into peaceful Palestinian houses and get their daily dose of “laxative”.  And make a dash to the nearest WC “Oh, Oh. I got so excited and almost dirtied my pants“.
Or they may run to the closest olive tree, get their pants down and cut the tree: The tree is now impure and should be taken down and burned…
These kinds of insane archaic behaviors that only an apartheid religious ideology can generate.

Palestinian children tortured, used as shields by Israel: U.N.

A United Nations human rights body accused Israeli forces on June 20, 2013 of mistreating Palestinian children, including by torturing those in custody and using others as human shields.

Palestinian children in the Gaza and the West Bank, captured by Israel in the 1967 war, are routinely denied registration of their birth and access to health care, decent schools and clean water, the U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child said.

Reporting by Stephanie Nebehay in Geneva and Allyn Fisher-Ilan in Jerusalem; Editing by Alistair Lyon (Reuters)-

“Palestinian children arrested by (Israeli) military and police are systematically subject to degrading treatment, and often to acts of torture, are interrogated in Hebrew, a language they did not understand, and sign confessions in Hebrew in order to be released,” it said in a report.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry said it had responded to a report by the U.N. children’s agency UNICEF in March on ill-treatment of Palestinian minors and questioned whether the U.N. committee’s investigation covered new ground.

“If someone simply wants to magnify their political bias and political bashing of Israel, not based on a new report, on work on the ground, but simply recycling old stuff, there is no importance in that,” spokesman Yigal Palmor said.

The report by the U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child acknowledged Israel’s national security concerns and noted that children on both sides of the conflict continue to be killed and wounded, but that more casualties are Palestinian.

Most Palestinian children arrested are accused of having thrown stones, an offence which can carry a penalty of up to 20 years in prison, the committee said.

Israeli soldiers had testified to the often arbitrary nature of the arrests.

The watchdog’s 18 independent experts examined Israel’s record of compliance with a 1990 treaty as part of its regular review of a pact signed by all nations except Somalia and the United States. An Israeli delegation attended the session.

The U.N. committee regretted Israel’s “persistent refusal” to respond to requests for information on children in the Palestinian territories and occupied Syrian Golan Heights since the last review in 2002.

“DISPROPORTIONATE”

Hundreds of Palestinian children have been killed and thousands injured over the reporting period as a result of the state party military operations, especially in Gaza where the state party proceeded to (conduct) air and naval strikes on densely populated areas with a significant presence of children, thus disregarding the principles of proportionality and distinction,” the report said.

Israel battled a Palestinian uprising during part of the 10-year period examined by the committee.

It withdrew its troops and settlers from the Gaza Strip in 2006, but still blockades the Hamas-run enclave, from where Palestinian militants have sometimes fired rockets into Israel.

During the 10-year period, an estimated 7,000 Palestinian children aged 12 to 17, but some as young as nine, had been arrested, interrogated and detained, the U.N. report said.

Many are brought in leg chains and shackles before military courts, while youths are held in solitary confinement, sometimes for months, the report said.

It voiced deep concern at the “continuous use of Palestinian children as human shields and informants”, saying 14 such cases had been reported between January 2010 and March 2013 alone.

Israeli soldiers had used Palestinian children to enter potentially dangerous buildings before them and to stand in front of military vehicles to deter stone-throwing, it said.

“Almost all those using children as human shields and informants have remained unpunished and the soldiers convicted for having forced at gunpoint a nine-year-old child to search bags suspected of containing explosives only received a suspended sentence of three months and were demoted,” it said.

Israel’s “illegal long-standing occupation” of Palestinian territory and the Syrian Golan Heights, continued expansion of “unlawful” Jewish settlements, construction of the Wall into the West Bank, land confiscation and destruction of homes and livelihoods “constitute severe and continuous violations of the rights of Palestinian children and their families”, it said.

Israel disputes the international position that its settlements in the West Bank are illegal. It says the wall it built there during the uprising stopped Palestinian suicide bombers from reaching its cities.

In March, Palmor, the Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman, had said that officials from the ministry and the military had cooperated with UNICEF in its work on the report, with the goal of improving the treatment of Palestinian minors in custody.

“Israel will study the conclusions and will work to implement them through ongoing cooperation with UNICEF, whose work we value and respect,” he said, in response to the UNICEF report.
