Israel Authorizes Organ Harvesting, Weapons-Testing on Palestinian Prisoners: Report IMEMC

Posted on March 24, 2019

“Palestinian spaces are laboratories,” Professor Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian said in a lecture at Columbia University.

Authorities of the Israeli occupation have permitted large pharmaceutical firms to carry out tests on Palestinian prisoners and has been testing weapons on Palestinian children, a professor with the Israeli Hebrew University said.

Professor Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian, a Palestinian feminist activist and the Lawrence D. Biele Chair in Law, said she collected data while working on a research project for the university.

“Palestinian spaces are laboratories,” she said in her lecture titled, ‘Disturbing Spaces – Violent Technologies in Palestinian Jerusalem’ at Columbia University in New York City.

“The invention of products and services of state-sponsored security corporations are fueled by long-term curfews and Palestinian oppression by the Israeli army.”

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem distanced itself from her claims that Israel has been experimenting on Palestinian children with new weapons systems in order to boost the sale of international weapons.

Just weeks ago, Israeli authorities refused to hand over the body of prisoner Fares Baroud, who died in Israeli custody after suffering several illnesses including glaucoma and liver disease.

There are concern and speculation from family and activist site, Palestine Libre, that Baroud was a test subject.

In 2015, the Palestinian ambassador to the United Nations Riyad Mansour accused Israeli security forces of harvesting organs from the bodies of Palestinians killed.

“After returning the seized bodies of Palestinians killed by the occupying forces through October, and following medical examinations, it has been reported that the bodies were returned with missing corneas and other organs,” Mansour said

The Israeli ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon responded by rejecting the allegations, saying that the charges were anti-Semitic.

Danon wrote to the then Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. “I call on you to repudiate this sinister accusation and to condemn the ongoing incitement by Palestinian leaders.”

As far back as 1997, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported on the comments of Dalia Itzik, chairwoman of a parliamentary committee, who acknowledged that the Israeli Ministry of Health granted permits to pharmaceutical companies to test their new drugs on prisoners, and noted that 5,000 tests had been carried out, IMEMC reported.

Hollywood’s stars invited in Israel’s prisons

By Fadi Quran – Avaaz

More than 500 Palestinian children are imprisoned by Israel right now on administrative charges and many of them endure terrible abuse like beatings and harassment.

Most people around the world don’t know anything about their plight. But we have a rare opportunity to tell the world about Palestine’s imprisoned stars — its children.

The Israeli government is offering a $55,000 trip to Israel for Oscar winners, trying to use celebrities’ fame to whitewash its image in the eyes of the world.

But if thousands of us invite the stars to visit Palestine as well to learn about our child prisoners, then we can make this the story and create a media storm in Hollywood.

The global media asking film stars if they’ll accept our invitation to meet child prisoners and their families could be the tipping point that forces Israel to release our children.

We have no time to lose — the Oscars are this weekend. Add your name to the invitation now, then send widely, to make this massive today.

Israel wants to use the endorsement of some of the world’s biggest celebrities to restore their international clout.

They want to hide the ugly face of the occupation behind photos of Hollywood stars on Tel Aviv beaches.

The stars will be given an all expenses paid journey so that they can paint a rosy picture of Israel — and Palestinians will be hidden from sight.

It may seem petty or inconsequential to care about what a Hollywood star thinks, but they have a massive following in the media all over the world.

And if we frame our invitation as a way to balance what they see on their trip, it will be hard to turn down. And the stars — and the journalists with them — can help spread understanding of the everyday reality of the occupation.

This propaganda trip could become a win for the struggle for freedom and dignity in Palestine. We can show the world what happens to Palestine’s future stars, the children, who have their dreams shattered by Israel’s imprisonment policies.

It’s impossible to see a child in prison and think they deserve their long sentence, or meet their family and remain indifferent. This is how we’ll turn this story in our favour.

A free Palestine is within sight, but like the fight against Apartheid in South Africa, it will take international pressure to win. Millions of Avaaz members have taken action on Palestine over the years, now let’s make sure some of the biggest celebrities in the world hear our point of view.

Israeli forces kill 13-year-old Palestinian

If not killed and murdered by live bullet, car over run, bulldozed… Palestinian youth are rounded up and put in administrative detention prisons.

A Palestinian teenager was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces in the village of Beit Laqiya northwest of Ramallah on Thursday evening.

Medical sources said Bahaa Samir Badir, 13, was shot in the chest after Israeli forces raided the village.

Badir was reportedly shot in the chest from close range, and suffered from severe bleeding shortly before dying at the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.

Clashes broke out in the village of Beit Laqiya after news of Badir’s death spread.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said that Israeli forces “encountered an illegal riot in Beit Laqiya,” and “while they were exiting the village, rioters hurled Molotov cocktails at the forces.”

“They responded to the threat with live fire,” she said, claiming that the 13-year-old child posed a serious threat to the armed Israeli soldiers.

“Reports of a dead Palestinian are being reviewed. There will be military police investigation,” she added.

She also said that the Molotov cocktails had posed a “direct threat” to the lives of the armed soldiers.

The death of Bahaa brings the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank so far this year to 42, in addition to the nearly 2,200 Palestinians slain during Israel’s summer offensive across Gaza.

More than 4,300 Palestinians have also been injured by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank since the beginning of 2014, as well as more than 11,000 during the nearly two-month assault on Gaza.

The West Bank and the Gaza Strip have been under Israeli military occupation since 1967.

Meet 5 year old Inas Khalil

Inas Khalil, 5 years old, died today in Ramallah after being run over by an Israeli settler’s car.

Naomi Wolf reported:

The second child who was hit along with Einas Khalil, RIP, Nilin Asfour, is in intensive care.

Many good suggestions below for excellent charities and aid organizations operating in Palestine to whom to donate money. Some understandable critiques below of why send flowers in a war zone.

Instead of food, money, medical supplies….the answer is long and delicate and I will explain more fully when I am less tired.

But it has to do with an instinct about depersonalization versus personalization.

All civilians everywhere who are killed are killed after depersonalization. So peace starts with each of us in our hearts really knowing Einas’ family are our close neighbors and their loss is our loss.

It may be pointless in the great sweep of violence to make loving respectful personal gestures heart to heart but I don’t think so. The settlers dancing are making personal gestures of hate and they don’t take long but have huge impact.

I think this is true of personal gestures of love as well. My own awakening about Palestinians and Muslins generally being part of my family came through acts of personal kindness on their part.

So of course I think that if there were waves and waves of caring responsible gestures and actions to counter waves of hate it would be powerful. That is what I hope this community can be…a cloud of love that can be sent around the world…person to person.

Also of course it can be transformational for the oppressor to do one small thing….it is about transforming the oppressor not just helping the oppressed. That is why flowers to the family could well be wrong but our making a personal gesture that says we care honor love and remember is right.

Plus it shows the US and Israel that we are watching and caring and not colluding in dehumanization of our collective children.Which dissidents do say helps to keep them safer.

Obsessed with Toulouse killing: CNN and French channels three day-long coverage, and counting

For the last two days, French channels show but this tragedy. The non-arrested killer of two “Jewish kids” and the father in front of a school in the French city of Toulouse has already been identified as an Algerian French national named Muhammad Mrah (24 of age). Over 300 French special police force are encircling the hideout of the perpetrator.(See note)

The French President moved his ass to the location of the massacre to deliver his condolence. The French foreign minister flew to Israel to share in the funeral… And the minister of the interior parked in front of where the killer is hiding, and is playing the reporter journalist game in the coverage…I wondered.

1.  It happened that three French soldiers were also assassinate the day before in south France, and coverage was not that grandiose, by any long shot…

2. What would happen if French national Palestinian kids were killed in France? Would the coverage be as exhaustive and harassing? If you think this won’t be the case, should a few Palestinian kids be killed to compare how France respond?

3. Muhammad Mrah was jailed in 2007 in Kandahar (Afghanistan) and fled from prison after Taliban entered the prison and freed the prisoners. The assassin was caught again by the Afghan police and the US army returned him to France.  Why?

4. Are “Arab” voters in France less numerous than “Jews”? Are “Arabs” French nationals not well-integrated?

Antoine Shalhat reported from Akka (Israel) that Nazi incineration of the Jews has been considered as the most strategic asset for harnessing the foundation of the “existence of Israel” and constitute the “identity” of the Israelis…

Benjamin Netanyahu PM made the Shoah the cornerstone for his last two speeches during the convention of US IPAC and in the Knesset.

Abraham Borg, former Israel President, wrote in his book “Let’s vanquish Hitler”: “It is not possible to decode the reality of Israel without comprehending the significance of the Nazi burning of Jews, particularly, its vicious exploitation in order to transfer the Palestinians from their homes and villages…Apparently, the Israeli authority made it sound like everything is permitted to Israel, simply because the Jews witnessed the holocaust…and nobody is entitled to tell us what to do…”

Abraham Borg stressed that the Israeli citizens are made victims for this perpetual non-stop loop of recounting and remembering the holocaust: The israeli are made to cow under the feeling of the next soon to come genocide, as if Israel has no atomic bombs and is not the most powerful military power in the Middle-East…( Thanks to the US and Germany: Germany has already delivered 6 nuclear submarines to Israel and has signed on a seventh, all paid by the German taxpayers…)

Dr. Ruth Amir, chairperson of polyvalent research at the “3amiq Israel” college, wrote in her book “The funny politics”: “Since its recognition in 1948 as a State, Israel adopted the concept of the victim, and disseminated this view by relying on the holocaust, in order to legitimize Israel policies, and purify it from all the sins and wrongdoing that it committed so far, and is planning on executing…”

The problem with this strategy is that most Jews around the world refuse to submit to this blackmail and have no guilt feeling against the enemies that Israel keeps inventing.

As if the Palestinians and the “Arabs” were the cause of the holocaust, and not the colonial racist Europeans. As if the “Arabs” were not on the Nazi list of extermination, ranked even higher than the Jews. Fortunately, there were no Arabs in Nazi Germany…

Note 1: A sniper killed the assassin: France of  Sarkozy is in no mood for this hot political trial of whatever failure it might be accused of.  Muhammad Mrah was jailed 15 times for violent acts in his teenage, before he got indoctrinated, and he was on the close watch list for 4 months since he returned to France.  Mrah killed 7 people in total within two days, and seriously injured another soldier.  Mrah had killed 3  French soldiers who served in Afghanistan, two of them were Moslems and from Algeria…

Note 2: President Sarkozy promised to put to trial and penalize anyone accessing “rogue” sites or receiving military training in “rogue” States.  And I wonder: would a French Zionist be also dragged to trial if he access Jewish ultra nationalist sects sites or receive training in apartheid and theocratic Israel?
