#YouStink protesters. EYE ON THE GOAL: Get rid of the militia leaders

EYE ON THE GOAL.

There are two militia leaders who can deliver internally on their promises, backed by handsome bribes, to keep Lebanon hostage to foreign policies and prevent any internal reforms.

EYE ON THE GOAL: Nabih Berry and Walid Jumblat, the former civil war militia leaders who were designated to rule the next phase of the political system since 1990.

EYE ON THE GOAL: Nabih Berry is the chairman of the Parliament for over 35 years without any discontinuity. Walid Jumblat is the Druze leader who has the sole veto power on any kinds of political or economic reforms.

EYE ON THE GOAL: Former PM Fouad Seniora is the managing director of the third member of the triumvirate of the Future movement of the Hariri clan, directly representing by Saudi Arabia interest in Lebanon

Very cheap and very low attempt to ruin a beautiful thing. Very cheap, Very low.

Especially the  low use of “da3yichiah” (from Daesh) so that each and every person who says something against a religion is a “da3ichy”? Come on!

We are smarter than this, people!

I wish we stay focused on the CAUSE and the REASON and the PURPOSE, not on the INDIVIDUALS.

We are usually used to follow a leader, and we put this leader on a pedestal and then BOOM, the leader either falls or gets promoted even higher, to a “saint” level, and no one can then criticize this leader.

This time is different, there is NO LEADER. (though another triumvirate might be necessary temporarily)

There is a movement and this movement has its reasons and its purpose, and the political scene is trying to shift our focus from the main purpose.

FOCUS people, FOCUS.

If everyone of us shares what he/she/it thinks online freely and honestly, there wouldn’t be 2 persons talking to each other now.

The hate, the separation, the god complex, the superiority complex, you name it…

I tell you that there will be no 2 persons speaking to each other or working with each other if that was the case. Good that it’s not the case.

Let’s stay focused and let’s keep the eye on the goal and not on the persons.

Otherwise, we would have to condemn and kill all the people who are ruling now, because:

  1.  they are the ones who are walking the talk of hate and discrimination,

2. they are murdering others for their religions, and for political power.

So who is more dangerous?

A facebook status? Or someone actually doing the dirty job of dividing and conquering and killing and stealing and…

Let’s not throw stones on people of this #YouStink movement!

I hear this a lot from “religious” people: Christianity is all about LOVE. Now is exactly the time to show this. Unfortunately, some devout Christians already failed this test.

(A few clerics from various 19 religious sects are trying to divide this youth movement on lame and idiotic religious myths)

La Syrie aussi , et ce n’est pas qu’on veuille mettre aussi le Liban à genoux;

(The militia leaders refused to invest in the infrastructure of Lebanon: Let the citizen pay for private providers so they can pocket the public funds accumulated from the taxes, direct and indirect taxes)

Install a Fridge in front of your house: Self-service amenities

Is FAITH IN MANKIND,TEMPORARILY RESTORED?

FAITH IN MANKIND, TEMPORARILY RESTORED! An anonymous man in Saudi Arabia installed a giant refrigerator in front of his house. He and his neighbours leave their leftovers in it daily, providing free food for the less fortunate children in his town. He wants to spare them the "shame" of begging, and provide them with proper meals instead. How much do we like this guy?! #highfives -KP

“A Year Without Showering”? Got showered naturally? Cleaned up with dirt?

As of today it has been one year since my last shower.  I know that sounds crazy and a year ago I would have agreed with you.  I was a regular showering guy for the first 26 years of my life. Well, maybe not every single day, but just about.

So how does a regular showering guy end up going 365 days and counting without taking a shower?

It started with a long bike ride across America to promote sustainability and eco-friendly living.

I set a bunch of rules for myself to follow to lead by example. The rule for water was that I could only harvest it from natural sources such as lakes, rivers, and rain or from wasted sources such as leaky faucets.  And I kept track of exactly how much I used, with an aim of showing just how little we need to get by.

I made it through the 100-day bike ride without taking a shower and for me that was quite the task in itself.  But everything had gone so well that I decided to continue my showerless streak.  I set a goal for 6 months and when that day passed I figured I might as well go a full year without a shower.

So here I am now, one year later, to tell you story of my year without a shower.

I might as well bring this up right away.  You think I’m really stinky right?  You think I smell like some sort of Swamp Monster like this:

1b-1024x682

Actually, nope.  When I say that I haven’t showered that doesn’t mean that I wasn’t bathing. I swam almost daily in places like this:

3-1024x678

And showered in waterfalls like this:

4--1024x682

and I used eco-friendly biodegradable soap when I needed to.

5-1024x682

But I learned that by living naturally I didn’t need cosmetic products anymore.  I just used some soap, toothpaste, and essential oils and found that to work real well.

This compared to previously using colognes, deodorant, shampoo, lotions, and all sorts of other products full of chemicals.   And guess what?  I had no lack of friends!

6-1024x681

In fact some even bathed with me.

7-1024x682

And I even had some romances in that year.

7-redone-1024x682

Nobody thought that I smelled at all.  And I surprised myself at how clean I was, just like everyone else.

9-1024x682

I realized that water doesn’t have to come from a shower head to get me clean. You can wash yourself in lakes.

10-1024x682

Rivers.

11-1024x682

Or just by sitting in the rain.

12-1024x682

But when natural water wasn’t available I found other places to clean myself without having an impact.  Like this leaky fire hydrant in Brooklyn:

13-1024x682

Or this blasting fire hydrant in the Bronx:

14-1024x682

I learned that I can air dry rather than using a towel.  And this meant less laundry, which saved even more water.

15-1024x682

And I also turned my shower time into a time to connect with nature.  It became my favorite time of the day, when I would disconnect from the stresses of life and be present with my surroundings.

connect-with-surroundings--1024x682

Sometimes I jumped around before jumping in.

171-1024x682

And sometimes I just chilled out.

18-1024x682

Other times I contemplated life.

19-1024x682

And on occasion I’d have guests.

20-1024x682

I learned that the average American uses about 100 gallons of water per day. But I was able to use less than 2 gallons per day on my bike trip.  That’s just 8 Nalgene water bottles.  (This was not including the natural water and leaky sources that I bathed in.)

21-1024x682

Most importantly I learned to really appreciate every last drop.

22-1024x682

Because water gives life to all of us and the animals too.

23-1024x682

When I got home from my bike trip I resumed  life at home but managed to use just 10-20 gallons per day.

That is 5-10 times less than the average American uses.  (Why not work to reduce the amount to 2 gallons by using small wet towel to rub?)

I went another 8 months without showering and conserved over 5,000 gallons of water and had plenty of fun with friends at the same time!

24-1024x682

And when I didn’t feel like swimming, but I needed to get clean, I just rubbed myself down with a cloth and a gallon of water.

But most importantly, I learned that you don’t have to stop showering to be a part of the solution.  Their are many easy ways to conserve water and most are really easy for any of us to do.

You can…

-Flush the toilet less often.

-Take shorter showers or turn off the water while you’re soaping up and scrubbing down.

-Wash clothes less and in full loads

-Turn off the faucet

-Wash the dishes efficiently.

-Install water efficient showerheads and toilets.

-Get your leaks fixed.

-Grow food not lawns.

-Harvest rain.

(Wash your head in a bucket and reuse the water and bucket to dip your feet in)

-(have your head)

-(Use a swab of cotton and alcohol to clean the sweaty parts (arm pits, groin…) in non nerve -wracking days)

-(save the cloth washing water in buckets for reuse in toilet after you piss)

How will you choose to conserve water?

Start today by picking just one way to conserve and with time do more and more. You’ll likely find it to be quite easy this way.

And if you do all of that, you might start feeling like this!
