Rate of geniuses decreased alarmingly in the last couple centuries
I contend that the largest number of geniuses are generated from the pool of early orphaned kids. There are vast differences between a genius and a brilliant person. The current type of bright people believe that:
1. Nature is meant to be exploited and devastated to the brim
2. Nothing in the traditional mankind structural divide should be changed: 80% should live in miseries to serve the well-off 20%
3. Climate change is not exacerbated by mankind over abusing of nature\s slow pace for rejuvenation
4. Total liberty for actions against unwanted species is their innate right for dominion on earth
5. The bright person instantly adopt and use new innovations without caring or thinking of the dire consequences on safety and health of users.
6. The brilliant chap is under the illusion that he represents the “conquering species of heroes”
The genius person is a far cry from the brilliant type.
1. The genius avoid the traps of instant gratifications, of short-term failures and profits
2. He sticks to the reality of life and nature, to the facts, of what experimentations demonstrate
3. The genius is the best friend of Nature, of its slow processes, of its steady course and of Nature independence from the spirited plans and activities of mankind
4. The genius is in no hurry to choose alternatives in the big issues related mankind policies, but opt for realising harmony and reaching out for accords.
5. The genius has a high sense of humor and is ever ready to use irony when an issue is debated with vehemence and intransigence.
Why these differences?
Orphaned kids who did not succumb early on to desperation, isolation and apathy or had to committed petty thefts that evolved to major crimes, grow up to have high qualitative calibre in characters of determination and resilience. They learn to interact and connect with people, work hard and try various jobs, stick to reality of life and nature and enrol in universities at the earliest opportunity. They learn to save money to satisfy their desires and wants for a better life-style.
It appears that orphaned kids can be categorized in 3 main groups: the geniuses, those who get locked in prisons and those who live a precarious life of miseries waiting to generate hard working, smarter and conscientious offspring.
My contention is Not based on the global population of barely one billion a couple centuries ago and about to reach 8 billion pretty soon. I am talking of ratios and not numbers. A couple centuries ago, life expectancy was very low, hardly 40 years due to incurable diseases, epidemics, lack of hygiene, lack of immunization…
Consequently, it is logical that the rate of orphaned kids was much higher than today. At least in many more countries. Mind you that the rate of brilliant kids are higher in well-to-do families and raised with both parents.
Currently, we have a huge number of bright people but the ratio of geniuses to brilliant persons is diminishing. And this is Not due to the shrinking of new mysteries and fields of knowledge to discover and uncover. We cannot compare activities and achievements between one or 8 billion people, unless the sample is restricted and controlled for development standards, rate of literacy, range of opportunities, State social support of well run institutions for the disinherited and poorer classes …
It is not a matter of stupid straight forward multiplication gimmick: we have to contend with the synergy phenomenon and the advances in accumulated knowledge, quick dissemination of knowledge and fast retrieval of knowledge. The orphans in developed nation backed by State political social support systems (or in underdeveloped places where communities takes in charge the orphans) are not liable to crowd the prison and incarceration systems such as in the USA.
In State social support environment the orphans grow up with a balanced and developed sense of pride, belonging and acceptation by the communities: They tend to mesh well and acquire the dignity of aiding the community. What is currently plaguing mankind is the alarming drastic chasm between the ratio of geniuses to brilliant people
