Brilliant Ways Sweden Recycles Its Garbage
Recycling in Sweden has become part of their way of life.
They take it very seriously, so seriously in fact, that when they run out of garbage to recycle they will even import trash from other countries to turn it into energy.
Imagine if all countries were so good at recycling their own waste!
Here are a few things we can learn from the Swedes about recycling…
1. Recycling stations everywhere
As a rule, there’s a recycling station less than a mile away from every residential area in Sweden.
2. Leftover Medicine
Instead of tossing pill bottles in the trash or leaving them in medicine cabinets, 43 percent of Swedes give their leftover medication back to pharmacists.
Apoteket, a major pharmacy outlet, last year sent 378 tons of collected and internal waste for safe combustion.
3. Discounts for Used Clothing
Last year Swedish megabrand H&M launched a global campaign that lets people swap used clothing for discounts. For every bag filled with worn clothes, H&M’s Swedish locations give customers a $7.80 price cut on purchases worth at least $52, reported Bloomberg .
The company then uses the donations to produce eco-friendly clothing collections.

4. Musical Waste Bins
In Helsingborg, public waste bins have speakers that play music to make recycling a more pleasant experience.
5. Everyone Sorts the Trash
Households separate their newspaper, plastic, metal, glass, lightbulbs, and batteries.
For larger items that are harder to collect, such as furniture or electronics, Swedes go to special recycling centers outside cities.
6. Popular Artists Sing About Recycling
Pantamera, a recycling organization, enlists prominent musicians to record songs and star in nationally televised commercials that encourage viewers to return used bottles to stores.
What you can do
Recycle at home or away to avoid wasting resources
Recycle everything you can. Anything made from metal, wood, most plastics, paper and cardboard, and electronic e-waste are all likely to have a recycling option.

All 130 countries that now recognize Palestinian statehood
Sweden announced that it will recognize the state of Palestine, becoming the first member of the European Union to do so.
Stefan Lofven became the prime minister of a new center-left government this month and used his inaugural address to parliament to say that a “two-state solution requires mutual recognition and a will to peaceful co-existence. Sweden will therefore recognize the state of Palestine.”

Currently, more than 130 countries officially recognize Palestine:

That is significantly up from about 90 that did so in 1988, when the Palestinian National Council unilaterally declared independence based upon a two-state solution:

Sweden’s move follows the UN General Assembly’s recognition of the sovereign state of Palestine as a non-member observer state in 2012.
(The Palestinians presented 122 countries as recognizing them (pdf) when they made their bid.)
The rest of the EU has yet to recognize Palestine in the aftermath of the vote, though some European countries like Hungary and Poland have recognized the Palestinians and did so before joining the EU.
The next country to consider the issue?
The UK, which will vote on recognition of Palestine after the parliament’s summer recess ends on Oct. 13th.
Vote Yes, and sent an email to your British deputy.
Sex markets and trades

Sex markets and trades; (Mar. 19, 2010)
Thailand is the prime sex tourist attraction. About 15 millions flood the Capital Bangkok every year. Many girls are connected by internet to their favorite regular tourists who visit yearly for a two-week vacation: one week with the girl (who consider this period as vacation time on beaches, all expense paid) and another week for touring Thailand. It is estimated that over 3 millions in Thailand practice sex business, supposedly with the consent of their folks to feed the remaining members of the family. The government enacted laws proclaiming sex business as illegal; it had completely forgotten this law: this particular tourist appeal generates 14% of GNP.
The American soldiers fighting in Vietnam and Cambodia targeted Bangkok for relaxation breaks and then opened bars and sex businesses. After the war in Vietnam, ex-soldiers resumed their preferred tourist activities to their accustomed destination. Obviously, drug trade was a major catalyst for targeting Bangkok.
The next destination for the northern Europe and England hard working population is the Capital Riga of Latvia. Every weekend, dozens of charter planes at low cost land in Riga for a relaxing time. Morocco is the favorite destination for southern Europe.
As for the sources of the human sex pool it is the new Republics of former Soviet Union and Africa. Romania, Bulgaria, and Moldavia are prime sources for the mafias in that trade. For example, Moldavia insures the availability of 10,000 sex slaves a year; the slaves principally land in the city of Antalia in Turkey and then to Europe; Cyprus used to be the first landing location of these girls, who had secured due legitimate papers for other jobs; but the law in Cyprus required medical check up on contagious diseases; thus the mafias shifted the target location to Turkey; Cyprus has now cancelled this requirement: it cannot afford to lose a large proportion of its 7 millions tourists.
Sex slave business mafias have reformed their techniques in hiring slave sex to circumvent tighter regulations. Currently, the mafias promise a sex slave freedom, after working several years in abject conditions, by luring and expediting fresh replacements. At first, the girl is promised freedom for hiring one replacement and then this number is increased gradually for one reason or another. The replacing girls know that the final job is sex but are never aware of the conditions of the work as slaves; they work non-stop and barely have time to feed and sleep. As the fresh slave girl board the plane then the doors are shut on her freedom; when she reaches destination she is gang raped, beaten and humiliated to give her the proper taste of what to expect.
Nigeria and Cameroon are the main African sources of sex slaves. In Nigeria, mafias organize witch ceremonies for the hired girls called “Djudju” where the girl promises complete secrecy on the bosses and organization. Many mafias set up faked “Queen Beauty contests” and then photos are taken in bikini and brochures are sent to select rich elite customers; first the girls are sent to work in hotels and bars and then are coerced to upgrade into sex business.
There are 400,000 whores in Germany and as many in Spain; 85,000 in England and as many in Italy; 20,000 in Holland and as many in France. Over 80% of the whores are foreigners from Romania, Bulgaria, and Africa. Sex slave charges between 300 and 400 in developed European States while it cost between 30 to 50 in their home States.
Many European States have tried alternative approaches to cut down on sex trades. Holland enacted laws to legalize this business as long as the sex provider applies legally. Unfortunately, only 4% opted to formally legalize their trade. Sweden has proven to have the most efficacious method: apprehending the customers for illegal activities.
Minorities in the Process of Disappearing: Iraq Case (April 29, 2009)
Germany has selected over 2,500 minority refugees of Iraq from the concentration camps in Jordan and Syria to be given political asylum. These selected refugees are mostly minority Christians and some Kurds of the Yazidy denomination. The first batch is of 120 refugees. The first phase is the transit camp of Friedland, close to Gottingen, where the refugees undergo medical examination, learn the German Language, and dwell in austere furnished rooms, well heated with showers and toilet along the corridors. There is nothing to do within the transit camps and the best meeting period is at meal time. The next phase is assigning the refugees to districts and temporary residences until they find jobs. A refugee may apply to his preferred location but it up to the German government to assign him.
Beside formal refugees there are many adolescents (less than 18 of age) not accompanied by adults (about 5,000) who were whisked away by their parents outside Iraq, Afghanistan, and Eritrea “for better life opportunities”. These non accompanied adolescents land in one of eight camps reserved for minors. They are aided to depositing asylum applications, learning the German Language, and offered medical assistance. Half the minor refugees obtain residency permit and the other half are tolerated to stay 6 months and renewable. Then they are directed to youth foyers. At the age of 18 the adolescents can rejoin families who accept them in their homes.
There are over a dozen minorities of ethnic and religious sects in Iraq. The Christian minority sects were expulsed from the Byzantium Empire after the conclave of Necee (in current coastal Turkey) in 325 on grounds of “heresies”. Emperor Constantine had supposedly converted to Christianity in an empire that was “pagan” prevalently. Many of these Christian sects seek refuge on inaccessible mountains in Mount Lebanon and in regions outside the Byzantium Empire such as in Armenia, Iraq, and Iran. These sects managed to survive for two thousand years; the first 600 years they survived because the successive Persian Empires were lenient with religious beliefs; when Islam conquered Persia and the major part of the Byzantium Empire in Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and the eastern part of Turkey starting in the year of 640 these sects enjoyed the formal recognition and protection in verses of the Koran. The Prophet Muhammad named the Christian, Jewish, and Yazidy sects are believers in the One and Unique God Allah. The other main factor for their survival was avoiding daily mingling with the Moslems and deciding to be secluded in isolated communities: They had their particular traditions and religious laws and they preferred to keep low profiles.
Many of these sects have their own verbal and written languages and have their literature. For example, the Sabi2a sect writes in “mandaic”, a language mingling Aramaic and ancient Sumerian. The Sabe2a (baptismal) revere John the Baptist and had communities by the Tigre River south of current Baghdad and wore white robes and had Spartans daily customs of avoiding meat and fire for cooking. They were around 30,000 and are now reduced to around 6,000. Among these minorities we have the Assyro-Chaldean sect and the Kurdish Yazidy sect who are remnants of the Zoroaster religion.
The regime of Saddam Hussein protected and even favored many of the Christian sects. As the US invaded Iraq, al hell broke loose; the extremist Sunni Moslems (Arabs and Kurds) waged campaigns of terrorism and extermination against these minorities. Finally, Sweden permitted many minorities who mainly fled to Syria to apply for asylum.
State Laws on Eugenics (killing): premises (February, 8, 2009)
The West might have been familiar with the Greek manuscript “The Republic” of Plato since it staunchly decided that the genesis of civilization began with the Greeks of Athens. Plato said “Permitting random marriages constitute impiety in a happy City. We will legalize sane unions that are more advantageous to the aristocratic class. We want sane offspring of the elite men and women to render high quality services to the Republic”
Since time immemorial, and mostly during Patriarchal social structures, a female baby life depended on the father’s decision to survive birth. It is argued that this kind of Eugenics was due to lack of resources to feed useless mouths that have no physical capabilities to defend the tribe. That is the rational cause that sociologist and politicians want us to believe, but I strongly doubt that is the main and deeper reason for selective decision on life and death. Under harsh survival conditions, communities much prefer the association and communion with same sex: The same process was applicable during matriarchal institutions when girls were given preferential treatments. We hate to say the truth that genders in mankind, when resources are scarce, select the “undesired sex” for elimination.
Today, millions of female fetuses are aborted each year in China and India. Even after birth, Indian baby girls are left to die of famine and negligence. Minority ethnic groups in China are experiencing State Eugenics Laws since 1995; the Chinese genetic physician has simply to state that the expected baby of the minority parents is found to be physically or mentally handicapped to sterilize the parents; reactions are lukewarm; as they say “it is economics, stupid”.
Mothers in India are cutting stones with stones (no stronger equipment are offered to facilitate their tasks) sitting by the new highways (the babies huddled in a makeshift tent by the roadside), so that cars, and particularly the inexpensive cars that India is ready to flood its market with, would have luxurious infrastructure to drive on.
In the second half of the 19th century, the British scientist Galton, a cousin of Darwin, loathed the charity associations because they cared for the “degenerates” and thus were an obstacle for the normal functioning of “natural selection”. Darwin had stated a fact that “Among the savages sick people, physically or mentally, were quickly eliminated. Civilized nations build sanatorium for these handicapped citizens. In the breeding business of animals they comprehend perfectly the concept of natural selection”
Alexis Carrel, Nobel Prize of medicine in 1912 for organ transplants, and who lived in New York, wrote in 1935 “A Euthanasia institution should use appropriate gas to dispose of assassins in an economical manner. We should not hesitate to organize modern societies around sane individuals.”
Politics have their own agenda to interpret statements delivered my famous scientists. The French author Rabelais in the 16th century said “Science without conscious is the ruin of the soul”. State Eugenics practices, in militaristic and dictatorial States, are rampant in this century. But what about eugenics practiced in civilized and democratic Sweden? Up to 1975, Sweden would not allocate family support for the disadvantaged unless the parents “voluntarily” agreed to be sterilized. Women who wanted permit to abort were asked to sign a form agreeing to be sterilized. The Swedish Alva Myrdal, Nobel Peace Prize of 1982, wrote in 1946 “Sterilization is necessary in order to avoid State aid encouraging births that harm the collective interest”
Modern DNA analysis of potential handicaps of the fetus offers parents preventive choices from a single drop of the mother’s blood. We should know that all these tests for intelligence IQ or SAT or psychological tests abounding in universities are basically eugenics instruments: They were proven to have no validity or power to forecast anything in people’s potentials and capability; still, they are used as a big business and misleading excuses to selecting students and hiring people in companies. In the US, a prisoner with IQ lower than 70 is not sent to death raw: He has to improve his score to be elligible to die!
