Visualizing Palestine: Visual Stories for Social Justice

I live in Palestine and Indiegogo isn’t accepting my contribution?

Neither PayPal nor Indiegogo currently accept donations from Palestine.

But don’t be discouraged, we’re setting up a platform on the VP website that still allows you to contribute to the campaign! When the campaign ends, your contributions will be added to the Indiegogo total. As soon as the platform is live, you’ll be able to find a link right here.

Why isn’t my credit card working when it normally does?

If you’re able to input all of your billing information on the contribute page, but Indiegogo still isn’t accepting your credit card, report the problem directly to support@indiegogo.com. We’re working to set up a business account with PayPal and an alternate payment gateway on our website, so you’ll have other options for donating in case your credit card payment isn’t going through.

What’s the story with shipping?

Shipping from Beirut–where our main office is located–can get incredibly expensive very quickly. We’re doing everything we can to cut those costs, from searching for shipping partners to building hot air balloons. But if your perk costs more than $30 to ship, you’ll have to be patient with us.

We’ll find the most cost efficient way of safely shipping your perk to you, which depending on your location may take a little while.

How do I tell you which prints/pendant I want?

If your perk requires you to choose something (e.g. choosing which prints you want), make your selection by leaving a private comment for us on our Indiegogo page.

The “Comment” tab is just below the project title “Visualizing Palestine: Visual Stories for Social Justice”.

If you’re on a smartphone, you’ll first have to scroll all the way down the page and click “Full Website” in the bottom lefthand corner. Then you’ll find the “Comment” tab as described above.

As long as you check the box “keep private” next to the “ADD A COMMENT” button, nobody will be able to see your comment but us.

Make sure to leave us your email address in the comment so we can link your comment to your contribution and address!

Understand Israeli – Palestinian Apartheid In 11 Images

Print Friendly

Below are 11 infographics that explain the Israeli-Palestinian Apartheid.

The graphics provide facts about the forced exile of Palestinian people, how the occupation has been maintained, the ongoing displacement of families and destruction of homes, the pattern of violence, illegal detentions, segregation of necessary resources like water and olive trees, segregation on travel and the wall.

Just as was done during South African Apartheid, there is a campaign to put economic pressure on Israel using boycotts, divestment and sanctions.

For more information on the BDS Movement, click here.

All the graphics are from the site Visualizing Palestine, a site dedicated to creating informative and impacting graphics about the troubled region. Check out many more of these images on their site
