Cadwalladr calls this new system a “broligarchy,” where tech elites hold immense influence similar to authoritarian regimes.
She explains that data has become the foundation of power, comparing today’s surveillance-based business models to the control once seen in East Germany.
According to her, we are already living inside the architecture of totalitarianism, and it is time to protect our privacy and act accordingly.
