Out of 800 air attacks on south Lebanon in a single day, USA waged 600 of them on Sept.23, 2025

From its ships Truman and Roosevelt and from its military bases in Cyprus, Greece and Jordan the USA conducted savage air raids with powerful destructive bombs and missiles.
Israel was totally apprehensive of waging a land operation in South Lebanon: successive failures remained in the psychic of its army.
USA air attacks and massive funding from the Gulf States to cover all “operation” expenses decided Israel to try one more time, on the assumption that after having assassinated the leader Hassan Nasrallah, there might be a great opportunity for limited success.
The hundreds of resistance forces in south Lebanon refused the order of Hezbollah to deploy to north of the Litany River for better defensive positions. Hundreds of them were killed and buried under the rubble for a month of sustained resistance without logistical support and under 24 hours drone surveillance coverage.
As in 2006, it was Israel that begged the USA to diligently work for a cease fire. The villages and main cities in South Lebanon were heavily destroyed and a few of them erased. The land Israeli army suffered heavy casualties, and it was getting hysteric and demanded to withdraw from this quagmire.
If Lebanon had a national legitimate government at the time, there was no point of accepting a cease fire without compensation for the victims and properties.
The fact that about 400,000 Lebanese were internally displaced demanded a reprieve in the war.
A year after the ceasefire, Israel still conduct daily air attacks, cannon shelling and even incursion in south Lebanon to destroy what it could not have done during the war. Lebanon and the UNIFEL registered 24,000 of such attacks and scores of Lebanese died in that period.
After the temporary cease fire, a one-sided deal, most of the resistance martyrs were collected in the dozens of totally destroyed towns and villages and under the rubbles.
تمرّد على القيادة
يقول مصدر أمنيّ مطّلع لـ”أساس” إنّ “معركة الخيام”، التي قاتل فيها عناصر “الحزب” ما يزيد على 3 أسابيع، خسرَ فيها “الحزب” حوالي 200 من عناصره لم يقبلوا أن يلبّوا أوامر قيادتهم العسكريّة بالانسحاب من البلدة وأصرّوا على القتال فيها حتّى آخر عنصر.
لم تكن الخيام هي البلدة الوحيدة التي خالف فيها عناصر “الحزب” أوامر الانسحاب، وهو ما أدّى لسقوط العشرات منهم ووقوع بعضهم في الأسر.
الأمر عينه تكرّر في قرى الشريط الحدودي، وتحديداً في عديسة وعيتا الشعب وعيترون ومارون الرّاس.
تؤكّد معلومات “أساس” أنّ الحزب عثر بعد الانسحاب الإسرائيلي من عيترون على 87 جثماناً لمقاتليه الذين لم ينسحبوا من البلدة. كذلكَ فإنّ بلدة عديسة كان ينتشرُ في شوارعه
ا وأحراجها ما يزيد عن 40 جثة لمقاتلي الحزب.
هذه الخسائر لا يُحتسبُ ضمنها عدد العناصر الذين سقطوا في القتال قبل أوامر الانسحاب.
كانت خطّة “الحزب” الدّفاعيّة تُركّز على إعاقة أيّ محاولة تقدّم برّيّ لمدّة تراوح بين 7 أيّام و10 أيّام حدّاً أقصى، ثمّ الانكفاء إلى الخطوط الخلفيّة في محاولة لجرّ الجيش الإسرائيلي إلى مناطق الخطّ الثّاني ذات الأودية والتلال، في تكرار لسيناريو وادي الحجير وسهل الخيام في 2006.
لكنّ كثيراً من عناصر “الحزب” قاتلوا لمدّة أسبوعين إلى 3 أسابيع في تمرّد واضح.
الولايات المتحدة قد شاركت بشكلٍ مباشرٍ في شنّ الغارات انطلاقاً من قواعدها في قبرص واليونان وحاملتيْ الطّائرات “يو إس إس ترومان” و”يو إس إس روزفلت”. وهذا يفسّر كثافة الغارات التي شهدها لبنان يومذاك.
