Why did Hitler spare Britain from his military expansions as long as Churchill did Not decide for total war?

Posted on: June 9, 2025

Did Hitler really want war with Britain? Or was Churchill the one provoking it?

Note: 125,000 British soldiers were cornered in Dunkirk (Belgium) with no exit. Guderian tanks were heading toward Dunkirk after invading France. Hitler ordered Guderian Not to attack the British and Not to take them prisoners. Thus, allowing England to send whatever ships it had to ship them back to safety.

Apparently, Hitler main worry was France land army, the largest in the continent. Now that France surrendered, Germany had no interest in invading England.

After being elected Prime minister, Churchill, in 1940 ordered the bombing of Berlin—even 7 times—before Hitler bombed London. Why?

Churchill wanted to provoke a reaction with eyes on the USA reaction for total support. And it worked. Hitler, enraged, abandoned his focus on RAF military targets and retaliated against British cities—a move that many historians believe saved Britain from defeat in the Battle of Britain.

If Hitler wanted to defeat England, Germany could have destroyed all of England ports and ships by its superior air force.

But here’s what mainstream history won’t tell you:

Hitler showed restraint.
He delayed retaliating on civilian targets for weeks and—believe it or not—made over two dozen peace offers to Britain, even after defeating France.

These offers are acknowledged in British records. Churchill refused every single one. He wasn’t interested in peace. His goal? Total war.

Why? Because Churchill needed America involved.

Actually, the industrialists in the USA were investing in Germany industries, especially chemical and mechanical qualities. These investments leveraged Germany military production

Here’s where it gets darker:

Britain and the U.S. colluded behind the scenes.
• American ships carried weapons to Britain long before entering the war, violating neutrality.

• Germany explicitly warned the U.S. not to send military supplies. Britain ignored it.

• One ship, falsely claimed to be a civilian vessel, was proven to be armed.

• When Germany acted on its warnings, it was portrayed as the aggressor.

But the American public wasn’t on board—until they were manipulated.

Even before Pearl Harbor, American destroyers were escorting British convoys and exchanging fire with German U-boats. The U.S. was already at war in practice, just not in name.

The truth?
This wasn’t a simple story of “evil Hitler vs heroic Churchill.”
It was a geopolitical chess game—where provocation, propaganda, and backroom deals shaped history far more than your school textbook ever admitted.

Why are Hitler’s peace offers ignored? Why is Churchill’s provocation never questioned? Why was Germany’s restraint buried under Allied spin?

The real worry of USA was the pacific strategic game. England and USA had lost all their colonies and military bases in the Pacific.

Consequently, in order to provoke war against Japan, the USA dispatched its outdated ships to converge to Pearl Harbor, while keeping its 3 air carriers far away from Hawaii. Tokyo fell into the trap.

It’s time we revisit WWII with honesty. Not Hollywood.
